There are a load of places online where you can have your articles published. Most of them pay nothing or very little to you for doing this.
The main reason you can get your articles published by these numerous sites is because your articles bring in viewers, in other words traffic to their sites., the more traffic they get the more people will pay them for putting their adverts out their for them.
You are not allowed to put any links to advertise anything of your own within or on the links to your article, so you cannot therefore monetise your articles. The reason for this is that the article sites revenue comes 99% from the adverts they place within your articles.
The main reason for placing your articles on article sites is the backlinks you can get to your own websites and blogs from doing so, this is why so many people actually do this. It is not for sure the payments they get for their articles because this in my opinion amounts to a pittance of what they are actually worth.
Some people put articles on these article sites because they are hoping to get noticed or get real work as an article writer, as in to have a portfolio of work that they can show to newspaper or magazine editors.
It is up to you if you publish via article sites or not, but remember one slip up and all your articles can be removed in the wink of an eye, so if you are going to do this remember to keep back up copies of everything you allow to be published on anyone else’s site!
